Yeah totally agree with that.
Iām really a big fan of the top air flow on my Geekvape zeus but I also want to try something new with dual or triple mesh coils that also lasts long
Got sick of the watermark on my display, and went and bought an OEM keyā¦ And decided to pull the trigger on an Office licence.
Hello,
Tried the Crown 5 with all 3 coils and the 0.23 mesh is the best in terms of coil.
All the other 2 coils are really bad that you have to pull like an ox.
The battery carrier also makes a difference.
My Asmodus Lustro was the best battery carrier so far and still runs today, the replica is unfortunately a fail broken after 3 months.
The Minikin V3S was also good but was already broken after 6 months.
Now I have the Dovoopo Riva as a battery carrier which does not run as well with the Crown 5 as with the Asmodus Lustro, but with the Vaplfy Sigfried it is top again.
With the Lustro I was able to use my own ignition curve.
Depending on the use, I could draw for 2 weeks with the Crown 5 and Meshcoil together.
I found it the best pairing so far.
Even with sweet liquids the results have always been good.
I had also had Crown 4 for a long time and it was still good.
And I found the operation better than with the Crown 5.
But Crown 5 surpasses the 4 again in terms of taste.
Itās funny that the vaporizer lasts longer than some battery carriers now do.
I always hated it when the battery carrier broke after 6 months or less.
Iām really happy with the Riva at the moment, unfortunately itās more for self vapers than for finished vaporizers.
My favourite is still the Lustro for ready vaporizer, would have bought it again if it was still available.
Itās a shame that Asmodus no longer offers it.
Huh seems like vaping i another rabbit hole just like audio XD
And now i know from whom not to buy used, so so more smoke free from you guys XD
Yes, unfortunately.
And unfortunately, there is also a lot of crap being sold at this level that can also be detrimental to health.
You have to be a bit careful, especially as a newcomer.
And even there, dealers are not always serious in the sense that they often sell more crap than you would like.
But one thing is good: once you have found something, you often stick with it if it is to your taste and everything harmonises.
It is the mix where it makes, between battery carrier and vaporizer.
Most of the ready-made kits sold by one manufacturer have always disappointed me.
However, if you put the vaporizer in another battery carrier, it was even better.
And vice versa, mostly the same.
One thing that is also good is that I havenāt smoked a cigarette in over 3 years since I started vaping.
So itās not all bad.
Again, just do your research and read read read then youāre always on the safe side.
When the dealer realises you are not an idiot, he will sell you something decent or rather nothing.
The Xenon 6 arrived today and so far iām really enjoying the thick and lush sounds. I may have found the last puzzle piece that slots in nicely with my current rotation.
Iām cheap, and yet I still love buying audio equipment. Thus, I bowed down to the pressure of everyone suddenly reviewing them and bought a pair of the HE400SE. Immediate impressions. Yes, the cable (it really is more of a wire) really is a bad joke. I did order a replacement cable, but the weird thing is that there already was a different cable in the bottom of the box the headphones came in. And it wasnāt the additional cable I ordered because that did come the next day. So maybe Hifiman realizes how bad that thing looks in all of the reviews? That said, do like the sound quality. They are very fast. Only complaint is they are a little more treble strong than I prefer generally. A very little. Not enough to put me off of them. They are quite power hungry. For the price theyāre pretty great, but Iād say if you can pay a tiny bit more and want planars go with the HE400i instead.
I feel like a seven year old on Christmas morning! I am seriously more stoked than I have been in years!
I just pulled the trigger on a whole new chain!
I am currently listening to a pair of audiotechnica ATH-M40X driven by a fiio E-10K
Since I came in to some funds, I just hit ābuyā on all new gear;
Soekris Dac 2541 from Modhouse
Vioelectric V281 (used) from a kind seller on US Audio Mart
Focal Elegia from Adorama
Balanced cable and interconnect kit from Hart (because Iāve heardFocal stock cables are crap)
I know that Iām kinda doing this backwards, with the headphone being the cheapest piece in the chain, but the idea is twofold - 1: this way I have source gear that will have no trouble with any headphone I try in the future, letting me journey through audio bliss with just one variable to juggle, and 2: When discussing with my better half, she pointed something out to me that just made too much sense. The V281 isnāt made anymore. As soon as she heard that she responded with āWell, shit. Thatās the amp you have to buy nowā. She knows me better than I know myself sometimes, and gave me a well-deserved speech about my frequently recurring love for great gear that isnāt made anymore. This has been true through several hobbies, and isnāt something Iāve ever really paid attention toā¦ Apparently she has though! Since she pushed me to the top end on the amp, she asked me to find a budget option for the headphone with the understanding that I would be upgrading / trading in and out while I settle on an endgame over the coming years. She also asked me to start looking into a set of iemās that would sound good on my old dac/amp for her to listen to. I offered to get her into a set of over ears, but she canāt stand the helmet hair.
I love my wife.
Sounds like you got yourself a keeper that knows you better than yourself
And for the iem side look at hbb or nymz Threads for some good info and active conversation
Yeah, sheās the best.
For the iemās Iām just getting started. I want her to be happy with the results!
Thatās quite the jump there, very nice chain youāre getting!
In terms of IEMs you can get some really good deals when looking second hand (I know I did with my trinity brass) as long as you can get past it having been used before Personally Iāve been a bit burnt out on IEMs recently due to the huge prominence of fotm stuff.
Focal Elear with stock and an extra pair of Elex pads. I hadnāt actually listened to it before buying the Elex pads, so I spent an extra 80ā¬ on top of 350 blindly. I just put 2 and 2 together, didnāt want to wait and someone else to snag the pads from me, also, not sure if they will ever be available again on Drop.
I had to make the decision between voice coil / driver failure prone Elear+Elex pads = Elex or the OG Clear, Clear wouldāve been the safer choice but I wanted to go with the cheaper version for now, besides, now I know how the Elex and Elear sound. Thereās also the fact that the Clear sounded a tad bass light to me and the Elex supposedly has a slight bump.
These just arrived and straight to the head. Been excited all week for them to arrive (fucking customs). Thanks to @rattlingblanketwoman for a great deal and very good communication while buying the Pandas. Thank you @MrAyrit for taking care of the pair and excellent packaging, as well as the giveaway of the KPH 40.
Now is time for some listening and comparisons. This will be fun!
After doing my āRyan Adams Experienceā I ended up ordering 3 CDs. The first one showed up.
āIII/IVā and his new one, āBig Colorsā are still on the way. Ya know what? I am having fun with this whole CD redux thing I got going on! I got all excited when this one came. First thing I did was rip it open and run to the CD player.
This takes me back to the days of being a kid and being into that Columbia House record club, where you choose so many a month etcā¦ Iām sure there quite a few of us that can relate! You couldnāt wait for the stuff to come.
Itās funny. The streaming technology is so good today, and I am embracing it. But there is just something about holding that disc in your hand, loading it into the player, listening to the player spin up and prepare to play that first trackā¦ I love it. And maybe I am full of shit, but I think CDs sound better. Apparently, this is the preferred music experience for me.
Way too muchā¦
ZMF Aeolus arrived today!
The walnut stand from Barrett Creative (seen here) I have with is fine, but Iām thinking about getting one in sapele to match these cups.
