the “Chocky” sound is awesome but is a bit louder than expected, might throw on some damping later
going back to a normal profile (i used a low profile Logitech 915 TKL) did slow down my typing but nothing too major.
the overall feel is awesome , even though the board itself is plastic everything way better in the hand than any premade board ive ever used. and there isnt even a bit of rattle unlike all the other keyboards ive ever used
Funny thing is that everything (including the custom cable) cost me less (150$) than my Logitech TKL915 originally (bought renewed from amazon for 170$)
According to reviews and my own personal short impression so far is that you can´t go wrong with K7 at that price point.
My D9200 is pretty easy to drive, still it feels like i hear its full potential for the first time right now…especially in the low end and the treble is also less sharp…placebo? maybe, but I don´t think so. Will do more testing tomorrow
I’m a bit burnt that they’re asking for a $600 premium (on sale), but they didn’t bother to include anything better than standard AptX. For that kinda money there’s no excuse for the Bathys to not have LDAC or AptX-HD if not both. That’s just me though…
Honestly though, I’m stoked that you’re diggin’ your new Bathys!
Didn’t really buy them today, but I had a bit of a double whammy: My A12ts showed up from 64 Audio today and so did my Fiio FF5s from the Fiio store on AliExpress. I didn’t pay for express shipping and the FF5s still got here in a little over a week. Pretty damn good for AE, IME.
Finally got the singxer sa-1 from @nymz and give him my seal of approval as a top seller just don’t expect to get your package quick because it seems in Portugal they do their delivery CO2 neutral with the bicycle
If you’ve never bought the Zero at all, may I offer advice?
If you like neutral with lighter/thinner note weight then get Zero. If you like heavier/thicker note weight, go to $35 and get Kiwi Ears Cadenza. I would only get Zero if you ABSOLUTELY do not get along with any mid-bass elevation
From what I’ve heard, headphones in the Fostex/Denon family are very amp-dependent. My own experience with my AH-D7200 confirms this. I can sense its enormous potenttial, but day-to-day listening has been hit and miss - sometimes they disappoint, sometimes they utterly thrill me.
D9200 never dissappoints me but can get too much for me on some days and especially at louder volumes. If I want to crank them up I need to use Q5K and cut away some of the details and even then they still have plenty
With K7 I enjoy them very much so far, seems like a good sinergy
I’d have to disagree with you on the 7200, i find them very enjoyably on pretty much everything, are they the best headphone i own? no
Are they always fun - ya
I’m in the middle of first impressions listening to them.
If you like how you feel about the sub-$100 price bracket and your favorite budget sets, you’re probably going to want to skip me reviewing these.
Sub $100 is like swimming in shark infested waters. And the sharks have stingrays in their belly and when the shark eats you then you get stung by stingrays.
