nope I just took it out of the case and had it on my desk for a bit V5i is probably the best that fits in the XD05 case

I bought a Steam Deck, and it got delivered last night. I am hoping to do a bit more gaming this winter, and hopefully less snacking / grazing during the evening. I have a ginormous Steam library already, so waiting this long was more about the right price. They had the 512GB LCD model for $336, which is an amazing deal.

Can you mod the case?
It’s all hooked up & working. Sounds pretty good if you ask me, not that my Topping A70 Pro wasn’t pleasant to listen to. The NAD C165BEE doesn’t seem to be lacking anything at this point that I can notice, except a remote. Sound is lovely. However I now have essentially 3 volume knobs. The line converter box has a trim for the -10 to +4 & the +4 to -10 which are both being used. My J3 XLR out into the +4 to -10 side which feeds the C165BEE input. The C165BEE preamp output feeds the -10 to +4 side which feeds my subwoofer via XLR cable.
On another note the C165BEE also has a very good headphone amp built in. It drives my 300ohm HD660S2 very well. Oh I should try the 600ohm DT990! Oh my. 600ohm DT990 are an excellent match with the C165BEE headphone amp. I just might prefer it over the 300ohm HD660S2. I’m using Star Trek in UHD HDR10+ of 2009 as test material & it’s making me grin.

I’m sending my two DT150 cables to Hart Audio Cables. He has agreed to scavenge the 6 pin connectors & make me a balanced lead that two other balanced cables he made for me a few months ago will be used with having a 4.4 Pentacon termination. My idea being that the multi kit be at the headphone end rather than the amp end. I will be able to run single 6 pin DT150, dual 2 pin HD660S2, dual 3.5 TRS Eris, Para* with the same cables. I have 2 Hart Audio 2m long ultra light balanced cables, each male stereo 2.5 balanced to male 4.4 Pentacon. My headphone connections have a female stereo 2.5 balanced, like the KPH40i, which is what gave me the idea.
I already have two female 4.4 Pentacon to male 6.35 TRS adapters.
*I don’t own these yet.

I’m sure with a angle grinder you could cut holes through the case to have “tower style” op amps poking out
