So wont really talk about them until then. But at least first impression is that they arent utter garbage like my previous creative 2.1 speakers (forgot the name but it was a dirt cheap one at around 30 usd). But worse in every way compared to my Swan M10 (2.1).
I love those style of stands, I’ve owned at least two types of the Soundrise ones (still have a pair for my Vanatoo T1Es when I travel). I hope those Aiyima work out for you as well!
As long as the dimensions are true and you have clearance (and the center of balance for your speakers isn’t too far forward to stay on the pad of the stand), you are golden. One thing you may have to alter (if they are already present) is adjusting the rubber footies on the bottom of your speaker to fit the dimensions and/or cutouts on the pad of the stand. The designs are even built for easy cable routing!
For like 3 usd.
Was a bit unsure if the S400 came with this cable that I needed for preamp out. Since my Swan M10 only came with an RCA → 3.5mm cable. It did though, but the cables included with the S400 is pretty thin so not sure how durable they are (shouldnt be a problem since speakers dont need to move after they are placed).
Great deal but I always buy genuine to support a US business. It’s not cheap but also working for a small US buisness that sometimes gets (attemptedly) undercut by foreign companies tiptoeing around patent and copyright infringement, I feel it in my bones. I also give China enough money for IEMs as it is haha.
Understandable. Although are you sure they arent just importing something from china and then marking up the price a ton? that is what happens for local stuff in Sweden usually.
Impossible to say if they are or not (without actually seeing their suppliers and/or facilities) but again, I’m still supporting a US business either way. I don’t mind since I can afford the extra and they’re essentially permanent items; if I COULDN’T afford that markup, well, then I’d live on Taobao and Aliex haha.
Edit: they do claim local manufacture
Yeah I’ve wanted to try other nice dynamics but Planars just seem to get so much more hype .
at some point a nice dynamic that plays well with tubes will be on the list .
getting them both for almost the same price I’m leaning to the HE1000se more.
based on reviews I was expecting them to be more different than they seem to be, gonna let them cook a bit more though .
