Says amazon on both the sender and seller, so it should be up to amazon.
They’ll get you your money back at a minimum, I’m sure. Also not being familiar with those two CPUs, looking up a comparison they are quite different even if the same socket…
Yeah…its a BIG difference for sure only thing in common is that they are using the same socket and thats it. Price wise no other store sells the 12100 for this price as they all gone up a lot now but this price i paid on amazon IS the price the 12100 has been for a long time so its not like i bought a too-good-to-be-true deal…
Yeah the M6 is too big to be even considered as portable, for it’s more like of a desktop DAC AMP by now when it comes to its size lol. The M5 Ultra are not small either but it’s more viable as a portable DAC than that one and man it sounds so good.
Well wow…got another Intel 300, the packaging on this one is in better condition than the last one but still seems slightly damaged. I also recorded it this time in case amazon wants to pull some bs…
…Third time’s the charm? ![]()
Writing with their cs atm…
Sooo after 30 minutes, they told me to return the first intel 300 i got since they apparently cant do anything until it has been registered in their systems. I only waited before sending it back since the replacement was gonna come in just 2 days. And told me to contact them when they get it. I can apparently keep the replacement intel 300 for free it seems…so worst case i probably get a refund and a free intel 300 and best case i get the intel 12100 i bought along with a free intel 300…
Sounds like a worthy recompense for your suffering and duress, although this all could have been avoided by checks notes sending you the correct SKU the first time. Almost makes me wonder if they have an inventory issue and the 300 is incorrectly labeled as the 12100 in their stocking system or something?
Since this happened to others as well you would think they have it labeled wrong in their system…but then the question is why they have not fixed it especially since I assume the others may have also gotten in touch with their CS…
How popular is the 12100 vs the 300? That may be why it hasn’t been widespread enough for them to notice yet, or it could be that there’s only a certain % threshold of “wrong item” returns that gets them to flag it or physically check it in their system. I have to imagine that this happens more often [with various products] than Amazon would like to admit, but everything they do is based on aggregate percentages at this point by my estimation.
Edit: Could also be an issue at a single facility or warehouse/distro rather than company-wide as well.
Even i had no clue the 300 even existed before lol. Never seen this model being talked about so i expect it is pretty unknown and expected considering how bad it is.
Got this as a replacement for my SmallRig RC C60, which decided to die on me during my trip to CES this year. This is much lighter and does Bi Color lighting as well as RGB. Can be controlled from my phone without the need for log in as it just uses BT. Uses NP F970 batteries which I already have in abundance so easy hotswap. And can be powered by USB C using a powerbank if needed as well.
Well, looks like i did have to take the refund and keep the replacment Intel 300 from amazon. Could not get them to send another one and they finally delisted the item…although still has the 12100 info on it…
Bought a used 12100 from ebay instead…
Did not bought this, more like I traded my Softears Volume S for this awesome set. Damn, I have heard a lot of good things about the Astrals but after getting this one for myself and hearing it in person, wow this set is really in that technical side and clean side which I really like. Sure I am going to miss the Softears Volume S’ bass performance but this one is not so bad after all, for I was originally gonna go for the Myer Audio Sliivo SL224.
Yep, quite a bit more V-shaped vs Vol S. Give those bass drivers some decent time to settle in.
Audio nervousa hit me hard on the new year and the only medicine for me was a Aune S17 amplifier. Objectively I didn’t need a new amplifier as my Benchmark DAC3 had all the power I need today but the sound quality left me suspecting that a better one could be found. Its nothing wrong with it just feels a bit flat.
When connected I waited a while and then looked at some youtube but couldn’t detect any difference from my DAC3 amplifier at all. Nothing. They sounded exactly the same. OK – patience Mike, patience, let it get up to working temperature.
So a few hours later and after most of my usual test tracks things started to happen. One of the things I enjoy most the sense of space it projects/resolves on well recorded music, plenty of elbow room between musicians and their place in the studio. That makes the it easier to enjoy each one of their contributions to the whole. If your diet includes natural recorded music your in for a treat.
Dynamics, clarity and omph are plentiful even down to the lowest bass as well as resolution and details. Love that.
Does the sound have any downsides? Let me think… well this may take a while
Huge discount in my country on this gem. I bought it for 1/4 of the price, new package on sale. I had listened to it 2-3 years ago at an audio demonstration in my city and said that one day I would own it when its price dropped enough. Well that day came.
First impressions: Great dynamics and stage. The mids are refined like butter and honey on a slice of bread. ![]()
Nice seeing someone using Mirph-1 ![]()
Look forward to his next headphone Vitrum (tested his prototype some months back), more technical headphone with a little more premium buildquality. But not as smooth as butter as Mirph-1
Yes its a very good headphone. Homero (the owner of mirph) helped me with eq to my ears and they sound exactly as I want today.
