These are the things that I have recently got this month of February and what do you know? It was also my birthday back on the 4th of this month and I have decided to treat myself. I bought a Keysion DAC holder, took a long time for me to get one and finally it’s here, better late than never.
And I ordered a pair of the Tangzu Sancai Noble eartips, there is also the NiceHCK C04 but it has not arrived yet. Last but not least, my greatest birthday gift to myself, and that is the Unique Melody Mest MK. II bundled along with the HiBy FC6 and the PW Audio Double Helix Initial cable.
Not gonna like I am broke as hell right now after getting these, but it’s worth it. Hence I am going to save up again and recover. I gotta thank my bestfriend for suggesting this to me and as well as my new friend who sold the MESTs to me along with the cable and the DAC.
Our main TV didn’t quite make the move to TX in good shape like we thought. As time went by, the lip sync just went bad, and it got to the point where it looked like we were watching one of those bad Kung Fu movies no matter what I did! So I had to get another TV before Kath threw the remote through the screen! Lots of good choices out there, and it came down to either the LG C5 or the Samsung S90F. But at the end of the day, I decided on this one
I stuck with the 55-inch, as it fits the room nicely and kept the price down to a reasonable hit. Man, it’s everything they say it is. It’s a little more than I wanted to spend, but it is definitely worth it. I’ll just eat ramen noodles for the next few weeks!
Was set on buying Sennheiser HDB630 for my office listening and calls, but ended up buying PX8 S2 Tonality is more balanced on the 630, but not as fun sounding and way less resolving. And comfort and breathability is horrible on the Sennheiser, won’t work for my office then.
Picked up the JMCALLY JM20 MAX and the new Kiwi Ears Cadenza II recently, they paired quite nicely. I think everything has already been said before about the JM20 MAX, for under $30 it is an absolute steal! It has plenty of power and it presents the source material in a neutral, uncolored way (my preference). I plan to use this as my daily driver for IEMs, such a great device!
At first, I had mixed feelings about the Cadenza II. I was using my go-to Dunu S&S tips and quickly tired of the although airy but pronounced treble and lacking body of the audio presentation. I rolled in my SpinFit CP145’s and that put a smile back on my face. With these ear tips the edge has been taken off the treble and a slight increased weight has been gained in the mids. Bass drops are more pronounced as well, a welcomed addition! I will be keeping these to add to my collection.
I am glad that you are getting more enjoyment out of the Cadenza II IEMs than I am. My issue isn’t the change in tuning. Instead my issue is with the incoherent sound of the drivers themselves since there is a weird factor in the overall sound.
I hear you, I have noticed an interesting take on some of my familiar tracks that are in my rotation. It’s not off putting to me but just slightly different I guess. I liken it to its titanium driver perhaps, which is different than the drivers in my other IEM’s. I remember some old school JBL speakers I used to have that had titanium tweeters, for sure different sounding than Mylar and ribbon types. I am going to roll a few more tips to see how that goes with its overall presentation.
The moving company absolutely destroyed the one I had, which was vintage and very rare. I was losing hope that I would find anything even similar to replace it, but My Wife kept searching and found one. Iam very happy with it!
That is a very nice looking rotating display. It would be neat to see photos of the display once you have added the cars and turned on the display’s lighting.
Its already has affected the retro handheld space. The Anbernic RG34xx SP had its ram drop from 2 gigs to 1 gig and the Ayn Thor price rose when compared to the earlier batches. I so want to grab a Thor but I tell myself to try and enjoy what I have left.
It was more of a shady stealth change in my opinion. They did change the descriptions beforehand on some listings but how it was handled was super not consumer friendly. It might not be overly too bad for a device that is clearly aimed at emulating GBA but now has tons of issues with custom firmware. I think somebody emailed them and they stated that ye they are having trouble sourcing ram for cheap so they chopped off 1 gig of ram.
