What did you NOT buy today?

$1800 Silverline Audio Sonata Mk III… These look like beasts I just don’t think they will work in my room.

Hifiman scares me lol

I’ve personally never had a single problem with any of the hifiman headphones I’ve ever owned and I’ve pulled them all apart so many times.

Well damn. And they come with the famed 6y warranty too, for half the price. :open_mouth: I’ll have to keep that in mind for next time.

LE:
Oh, double damn. The one I was looking at is more like 1/3 - 1/4 of the price of the “cheap series” Noctua redux. The CO (continuous operation) model from Arctic is the one at half the price, but it has 10y warranty. :exploding_head:

they are great, I have a few running almost non stop for 3 years now and still whisper quiet

I did not buy a Carbin fiber front splitter, side skirts, full rear splitter and trunk spoiler…
Cherry on top. Door sill guards…
They would have been 3.8k$. So not today… or even next year.

Could be worse. This McLaren Speedtail has about $600,000 in carbon fiber upgrades:

True. Anything McLaren is a lot moneys. Old vette? Not even near realm.
I’ll try to save the parts money maybe in 3 year timeline.
Next year would be full polish and ceramic coating + windows tint. Little by little for the big “plan”.

Just gor a quote for clear tinting all of my cars (makes it much cooler inside when in the sun) and the quote wa 4k a car… I had no idea. Last time I clear tinted a car it was 1k and the fucker was basicaly entierly glass

The R10P on headfi for 2800 usd. I realy realy to try a pair, but I hate having stuff that expensive that has a chance of being hard to sell -.-

Plus, tbh, the LCD-R have turned me into a bit of a timbre whore and the mega ducked tonality of the R10P probabaly means timbre is nasty as hell (at least thats what I’m telling myself to get over hesitating too long)

Missed buying a Fostex T50RP MK3 for a decent price, well, at least i don’t have to worry about amplifying them.

Funny you mention these. I almost pulled the trigger myself but thought better of it. I mean shit, there is no Platinum in these things, ya know? Forget about it.

They can be had at reasonable prices

The Dana lazuli cable stuff can be pricey though. Think that headphone cable alone is $1500 new. I like upgraded cables but that ish better be the sound of angels for that price.
