Just started watching Gotham on Netflix. Two episodes in and its good but pretty slow. If it doesn’t pick up soon im going to have to call it quits
Edge of tomorrow 4k vision/atmos 9.5/10
When you buy the digit copy through itunes it shows up on the movies anywhere app if you already have an account. On itunes its only in dolby vision, the movies anywhere app its in dolby VISION AND ATMOS.
Hearing it from the crappy streaming copy, the atmos track still sounds pretty damn good. the mix might be right up there with godzilla/kong movies . Why there isnt a 4k hard copy is beyond me.
I liked the first season of Gotham. Got about halfway through the second season and fell off of it. It was ok, but suffers from the same stuff a lot of superhero prequel stories do, which is that they’re just kind of building up to “Batman,” so nothing too crazy can happen with any of the established characters. Anytime an original to the show character appears, expect them to probably die lol
I got three minutes into Godzilla vs Megalon and I had to bail. The monsters looked like a scene from Robot Chicken.

Just in the bottom of the 7th inning of a Toronto-Baltimore double header.
Honestly that’s the point of those late 60’s early 70’s Godzilla movies. They are just so God damn silly and fun imo. One of my favorite examples is when Godzilla defeats Hedora and just flys away backwards using his nuclear breath as a rocket thruster.

I LOVE this fricken movie! First because I think Tom Cruise does an admirable job in this one. One of his better efforts n my opinion. And then there is Emily Blunt. There is also Emily Blunt. Did I mention Emily Blunt? HA! Just kidding. She does an outstanding job in this role. I dig the story too.
Did I mention Emi - LOL!! I know, shut up already!

The foundation 4/10 only for dolby vision/atmos.
SEE 6/10 dolby vision/atmos the story is enough to keep me oddly entertained.
Squid game 7/10 dolby vision. Reminded me of “the game” with sean penn micheal douglas.
just finished watching all 4 seasons of Corner Gas Animated. I love Corner Gas!
also gonna watch ep 4 of Foundation. I never read the books…but it’s interesting to watch the lovers of Asimov bantering, bickering and getting outright hostile in reddit discussions about the books and how well the tv show is following cannon, etc. heheheh!
Im shallow, if apple wanted the main charaters in the foundation to be LGBT interracial why not just have two dudes and is the casting a point that humans will find humanoid space aliens not too apealing ?
I just watched a young man named Logan Webb pitch one Hell of a game this evening in a 4-0 Giants win in game one of the NLDS. A real treat to watch the 2 best teams in Baseball go at it. Hell, this series could end up being better than the World Series! They are certainly off to a great start.
And now, back to the music. I’m on the Elegia’s tonight…
“Another life” first season on netflix.
Its so bad 4/10 for being that bad but doing so in dolby vision/atmos. Real background material to play on the gear when your working on stuff.
Update: two more points 6/10 for some good LFE/atmos effects.
I saw DUNE yesterday. An amazing movie that no one who appreciates audio-visual entertainment should miss. The director nailed it with the imagery, every scene is very striking and seems realistic or believable. The movie really transports you in another world, very immersive. The audio is great as well with Hanz Zimmer delivering an impressive score.
In my opinion you really need to see this in a good cinema. But I know a lot of you have sick set-ups at home as well so it should be a good experience either way.
It is a slow burn type of movie with not a ton of action. A lot like Bladerunner. Keep that in mind and if you like the trailer than you will also like the movie.
Only other thing to keep in mind is that the movie doesn’t really reach a conclusion, it’s meant to be part 1 of the whole story and it really shows in the end. Personally I prefer that the director wanted to give the story this way because he takes the time to really set things up and immerse you in this world.
It also gives me sometime to think about it as this is the first time I hear of Dune in general and it seems like a complex and thought out world.

Saw dune giving it 7/8 will bump my rating if the atmos is good in my home theater.
Just cant shake its the series “see” on appletv in the desert. Getting pissy the same actors being casted in every movie and TV show.
