What Is happening?! M1570, M1070, M570 from Monoprice THX AAA 887 Too!

I think that’s the best thing (other than meeting and chatting with some cool people) I’ve gotten from this hobby/journey. Hearing a song I’ve heard so many times and didn’t care about on a good set of headphones, sourced well, and then you just fall in love with it as if you’ve never heard it.

On the other hand I’m also just thinking to buy a Loki and liven up the mids on the Phantom when I feel like them a bit more forward.

It’s still pretty good though so I wouldn’t feel too bad. Just remember that they really like a good powerful amp

Been watching a lot of William Murdock videos (The Headphone Experience) and he uses two different amps to power these. One is the Emotiva BasX which I’ll be using. The other is Audio-gd Master 9 (which will be out of my price range for quite a while :grinning: )

He admits the Master 9 yields a much better result, but he was also impressed with the sound in combo with the Emotiva.

It will be fun to hear for myself (also my first Hifiman headphone) and to also see how it compares to other headphones I have.

I read a forum post or reddit post in my travels where someone says, “Are you willing to spend $75 (shipping, fees, depreciation, etc) to try different used headphones?” That’s pretty much were I am. I’ll give it a try and at best I’ll have another enjoyable headphone to my collection or worse-case I’ll have learned more. So much nerdy fun.

You can always get ZMF micro swedes, honestly they’re better having owning both

Boy you weren’t kidding trying to warn me against V3. The build quality reminds me of the Monoprice Retros! How did they have the gall to charge $800 (or whatever it was) when they first came out?! I don’t even want to say what I paid for these. They better sound GOOD.

The 560v1 has a different build and the v2 and v3 were an adroma camera or however you spell it exclusive that was only 300 usd. They used b stock drivers and changed the housing, and overall imo degraded the sound from the v1.

Remove the grills if you think it sounds congested, trust me on that, does wonders for them. As far as if you like it then see about something different to protect the driver

Meh.
3 years reading hypes.

Ain’t no jk HD668B bandwagon was a swag.
And still hyped to see m1070 now since DMS fucked up Phantoms deep hard anal into anus :see_no_evil:. Price.com has to knock off Audio-Technica’s wings cuz dat m1070 headband looks like a helmet, ugly af, bulky af weights more than my lebrons 16 bo jacksons.

Lol, but if it sounds good that would be nice, but I do agree it does seem strange not seeing focal cups on a focal headband

Also the m1570 seems to be the heavy one, but I am not typically bothered by weight

m1570 is like 3.5 weight of HD668B haha such stupidity u have to be diehard audiophile to carry that & u might slip out of balance and die. Damn u guys dont go outdoors i forgot.

He really did. It was if he said before that review, “I think I want to end this headphone today.”

Lol I don’t own a single headphone that heavy, I have some that get close but not that far. Also on a focal style headband that can’t distribute that well imo, a suspension style might be better suited

just burn IT straight up!

On ifa i was able to at least try on pre production models of the m1070 and m570.
The m570 is another “sendy clone”, they didn’t feel as good as sendys and they also didnt sound the same, but ifa is loud so I cant comment on their sound quality. They didnt have any cables for the m1070, so I couldn’t try it (they didn’t wanted me to try them, I think)
But they felt quiet good, their build feels much closer to audeze then m1060.
But they do look really promising.

Thanks for the info :+1:, pretty excited as well

On the off chance that someone on this forum is capable of time travel, would you mind traveling forward a few months, buying the M1070 and M1570, listening to them for 3 weeks straight, and then coming back to do a full detailed review of them in this thread. That’d be great. Thanks in advance.
