Me too with the 1070. I’m just thinking like it’s quite a bang for buck, that not everything can be perfect. I don’t seem to be having any problems with the headband tho. The audeze’s (LCD2) on the other hand gave me a headache after 20 mins of testing. Maybe I was wearing it wrong.
I feel like with the headbands on 1070 and 1570, when you go into a laid back position and position it right in line with your neck, it just sits there and you don’t feel any weight.
I may have had an issue with my first 1070 headband that was specific to mine because it was very very noticeable on my large head and other people have not seemed to have had such an issue. And to be clear I think they sounded absolutely amazing. I ordered a pair of the 570s and 1070s to try them both out and I absolutely love the 570s, they fit perfectly and sound great. The 1070s sounded slightly better but the headband was to much, but I like them enough I am having a replacement sent back to me to retry the headband fit. I am keeping the 570s without a question i think they sound noticeably better than my hd6xx’s(but that is just me and obviously subjective) and the build quality is great. I will let you know how the replacement 1070s feel, and if still loose will try to simply bend them in as suggested. I did not want it to seem like I disliked everything about them, it was literally just the headband and I am hoping the next will be better.
I agree with you it is a very good value. They sound better than anything I have heard in my somewhat limited experience and are reasonably priced. I mean 400 is not cheap, but I honestly feel like they are worth the money when I feel/look/listen to them. A G for headphones is getting up into the territory where I just am not sure I can justify it tbh, and starting to feel just a tad ripped off I would think.
The headband thing pissed me off but I am going to try another pair i like them so much. I also got a pair of the 570s at the same time and they are absolutely perfect. I was going to choose between them but as long as the headband is better on the next one(or I can easily pry it as said earlier) i am just keeping both of them.
Must admit, I am disappointed with the polarising views on some of these. If I was a betting man I would not have guessed this.

The one with the headband. I listened to the LCD2 Originals. Must’ve been why they sounded so lush and beautiful.
Ah yeah the older headband isn’t as comfortable, but the newer style suspension strap ones are pretty comfy imo. Also I also prefer the pre fazor as well
Well I think I’m keeping it if theirs not a big difference between it and the 1070. Hopefully they can do something about the headband. I have a hd6xx and sundara, and I think it’s much better than them both. But I think those two are great as well.
Monoprice has made the refund/exchange process very very easy. I sent them one email saying I didnt like how they fit and they had emailed me a prepaid label the next day for a refund/exchange. Since the issue has been comfort related you could try them out and return them if they dont fit you. I believe everyone has liked how they sound other than rice, just been comfort issues IIRC.
Monoprice on Ebay have finally listed the M1070 & M1570 (not a good deal right now). Its a matter of time before they offer them with discount codes if people are paying attention to getting these are a better price.
If there is a coupon code that works for them, I’d probably recommend jump on it you can find it for $400-$500.
Just ask linsoul to match the massdrop price, they usually accomodate if you dont like drop’s delivery… offering (is what i’ll call their roundabout delivery).

I gotta try a fazor Lcd2 at some point. After a lot of listening to the 1570 I don’t enjoy my sendys any more and I regret the purchase of my focal elex even at the sale price. This is the first purchase that made me do a mass culling of older gear.
I don’t always agree with his reviews but I do like his polar opinion, but that’s just me lol.
I mean, I just don’t think there is any actual info in his reviews, it’s more just ranting or raving, and then attacking something or someone for no reason, but that’s just me (someone who doesn’t even watch reviews anymore lol)
