Well, it’s more that I just form my own opinions since I am able to hear most of the new stuff lol

Just imagine what Zeos has to deal with then? lol

Well that’s what he’s done historically lol, he doesn’t really watch or pay attention to other reviews and just gives his impressions

How is it that you have gotten to listen to almost every single headphone out there?

Even guys in the industry only get to try out the brands that they sell.

I just know a ton of people and go to a ton of shows. Also I haven’t heard everything out there, but I have heard the majority of popular stuff out there. Just a I guess at this point diehard enthusiast

I’m not limited by a company or anything like that, since I don’t sell anything and am not associated with any either

Probably the best way to review tbh and dodge any of those frequency response graphs too :+1:

What is it you like more than the Focal Elex from the m1570? From all this raving, I’m so tempted to return my m1070 and upgrade to the m1570 to hear all this buzz!

You’re certainly a Yoda of sorts. Just use your powers for good, Mon. OK?

I really don’t do anything with my useless info about audio outside of this forum or for my own purposes lol

What is it with the M1070 that you think it is lacking that makes you want to upgrade?

Personally I think that the elex vs the m1570 is more preference, as I could take either and be pretty happy. Personally I liked the elex more but again I think it comes down to preference. I will assume that the elex or the m1570 would be an upgrade to the m1070 though

Putting the means aside… just with time alone… I would imagine finding it hard to listen to a number of things even if they were available to me… though I guess with audio gear multi-tasking is generally possible.

Anyone owns the m1070 or the m1570 that can compare to hifiman Ananda?

I’ve just had alot of time with my career allowing lol

I have only heard the m1570, but vs the ananda, they have a somewhat similar bass response, but I think the ananda has better layering, but the m1570 has better impact. The midrange on the m1570 is more prominent, but is also more traditional, where the ananda has a bit more width but is slightly recessed, but vocals can be intimate at times. The ananda has better treble detail, but the m1570 is pretty close imo. I think the m1570 has better imaging, but I think the presentation and soundstage of the ananda is more interesting to me

They had very similar in that open large sound stage sound but I found the elex a bit thinner and colder. More harsh. I have them both at my desk and I was really enjoying the elex until I switched and tried to go back. Same problem with my sendys. The treble is too harsh on them.

Oh and the mid/bass is super impactful and well controlled on the 1570. Not that the elex aren’t clean down low… But in the mid bass regions you get a lot more body to the sound. At least imo.

Honestly, I can’t watch that guys reviews anymore. I’ve had to tell youtube to stop suggesting his videos… lol. It’s a bit much for me personally. I feel like he takes it a bit too seriously. Like it’s life and death… or politics.

NTR is something lol

I guess I also don’t really care anymore about reviews like those since I guess if I am that curious about a headphone to want to watch reviews, I will just buy it blind if I don’t know someone who has one that I can go listen to. Also avoids getting into hype as well, so I don’t fall into that trap

There’s certainly something about social media and our current age that makes respectful discussion seem inadequate…like if you’re not being an insulting asshole you’re somehow “weak.” I dunno.

Not my style.
