What Is happening?! M1570, M1070, M570 from Monoprice THX AAA 887 Too!

The m1570 is warmer and slightly dark, but not overly so. I personally think the lcd2 is much more refined, actually detailed, and just more coherent over the m1570 imo, but that doesn’t mean the m1570 is not worth considering to some. And comparing build, comfort, and quality, the lcd2 is the winner there in my mind. You can find used lcd2 for around 500 bucks at times so it becomes a better value too imo

Would I be considered treble sensitive then? I always enjoyed my 58x over my 6xx and although I loved my sendys I found the treble too much at times. I didn’t think of the 1570 as dark but rather warm and mid forward.

I don’t think so imo, it seems that you don’t mind treble. The sendy is just pretty aggressive at times. If you prefer the 58x, you prefer to have upped treble lol

I received my m1070 replacement set today. As I suspected the original headphones did have some sort of issue with the headband as the new one clamps to my head correctly and doesn’t fall off, or cling to my ears while looking down. I still can’t like headbang in them but it is much better and i will be keeping them along with the 570’s. Kind of thinking I should have just got the 1570s now LoL- it just never ends.

I paid $80.00 for an open box and was very satisfied. $10.00 is crazy.

I am curious the difference between the 1070’s and the 1570’s myself. We both know it will not end there though. We are at 400 now, 1570s would be an extra 2, so that puts us at 600. Now at 600 for another 2-300 you could get lcd2/focals… and then for another 3-4 after that you could get… It will just never end so I think I will keep the 1070s and just save up for the next major “tier” upgrade so to speak.

I’m curious how the 1070 is in comparison to the 1570.

I like they idea of getting better price to performance with the 1070.

im getting more skeptical about metal571’s reviews. its like hes obsessed with certain sound signature and EQ’s all his headphones for that. he’s constantly finding fault with headphones everyone has given very positive reviews for.

Even if that is the case, that twitter thread links to 3 other sources that measured the same 800 hz ringing. I definitely won’t be touching these at all. I learned my lesson with the bs m1060 hype.

a lot of people think its fine, including Zeos

I mean that’s 3 sources as well my ears that confirms it for myself.

every headphone has flaws, i dont think its a good idea to start OCDing out on one frequency.

I mean I’m generally not ocd ing over one frequency but when it makes it a not enjoyable experience in any way shape or form I think I’m good

That 1 frequency is at 800 hz, which is part of the frequency bands that are the most audible to the human ear. That is not a frequency where you want ringing. If you can’t hear it, then just be thankful that you have bad hearing. As a musician, I can hear it plain as day and it sounds awful. They lasted 9 seconds on my head before I set them back down on my friends desk. No thank you.

My hearing isn’t even that good . Good for my age but I also did music in the past. The rignging adds a odd resonanse that really messed with the sound if you have a busy tracks and really kinda muddys up or congests the mids . Not even needing to mention the highs

Exactly. It really depends on the source track as the ringing will manifest around the the tone basically.

Its hard not to notice especially if you pop on a podcast
