Audio essance HDACC-4K Its weird. Hdmi passthru to tv and then a stand alone dac preamp. Also will adc analog sources like vinyl and clean them up and poo out magic? According to bob the inventor. PSA. Bob will email you directly. I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Bob chatting about audio…life… etc…Cool guy. Might be lonley or just garden variety mad man like most of us.

Have you considered the Audiolab 6000CDT ?
It’s $100 cheaper at the same retailer you posted. Supposed to be a good transport.
There are some possible issues with slot loading transports like the Leak and 6000CDT scratching CD’s .
I own the original Cambridge Audio CXC transport which has the normal tray style CD drawer. It is an excellent transport for the money and the new verion 2 ( CXC V2) sells for the same money as the Leak @ $699.
I drive a relatively high end Primaluna EVO 100 Tube DAC and Preamp with the CXC and I’m completely happy with the performance. I could have spent much more on a transport but didn’t see the point.

The BLON BL-30 are a fun mod-necessary, mod-encouraging headphone that scream Z to me with their x-treme 70mm dynamic driver and other oddities. An eccentric tuning that he might even enjoy. Z should build a BHC+SB or beyond. A legitimate blind usb cable comparo with highly resolving components chosen to support. A budget CD Transport shootout (Emotiva, Cambridge, Audiolab, +?), ESS 252/713 ($60 for two ‘wood’ headphones), also the ESS great Heil seem up a real Z-Reviews alley. Hifiman EF400. Audorama’s $199 HE-560v4. Maggie LRS.

Would love to see what he thinks of Audio Technica’s WP 900 and HL7BT - think it’s definitely up his alley
If you can’t get Apos to send them, I’d love to see the Elipson Prestige series speakers and subs. It would be awesome to see some of the more budget minded turntables. It would be great to find something as a good starting point to build off of for people wanting to dip their toes in without jumping straight into the deep end.
