Where can I get lossless music?

as it is for me

played around with Audirvana, cause I had bought a VST3 plugin (by SPL) and could not register it in foobar. It(first registration) worked out in Audirvana and works since then perfectly fine in Foobar

would love to find a player with funny VU-meters - just for the looks - nothing very important though

Just get a plugin or addon for foobar lol

I have searched for it - there was nothing …

oh maybe I found one! VU Meter 2013-02-16 foo_vis_vumeter

or this one… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zem9TSBfedo

have to check it out this evening!

Because the music police will search your music collection for CDrips…

You better not mess with the public library, you don’t even know what they are capable of

Personally I use n7 music player. Pretty bad ass interface

What is that page showing? It doesn’t seem like any part of it is aligned.

Yeah that’s the cool thing, if you see the bottom rows the smaller ones are aligned but depending on how many albums you have per artist they are bigger. The big ones that are not aligned are the artist with most albums. If you click a artist it shows u their albums

You could also zoom in a bit just to look

Oooh, that’s actually kinda cool. Foobar is sucky at that, it just bundles the albums of each artist together in a list. So you have to scroll forever to get anything other than AC/DC. I don’t know why it’s even an option. ‘Artist’ sorting gives you a tree view of the albums anyway.

you are right for scrolling it can take some time
what I love in foobar, is the speed in the searchbar - it´s immediate

Ah yeah that’s kinda meh, well foobar in general looks a little old skool too
Not trying to sell you on this lol but you can even go a more traditional player style

I think it’s got the best interface really, super customizable too

I use a logitech mouse with their infinite scroll thing, pretty awesome, something to look into

Yeah and the thing is, that type of interface is probably the way to go for pc. When it comes to phones tho I think this type of interface is better

I got no problem with scrolling in foobar … however most of the time I use the searchbar
we use these ergonomic mice at home and in the office - they also have adjustable speed and if you press the wheel, you can scroll forever up and down

Edit: had a look at this infinite scroll thing - thank you! maybe get with the next

It also has horizontal buttons for skipping back and forward tracks, which is nice. The quality of the buttons suck though, but that’s a Logitech thing, their buttons are squishy.

Foobar2000 is nice too because it has tons of ways to customize it.

I use freac to do my cd rips, I have yet to have any issues with it. It also doe sa album lookup to get all the extra bits to fill out missing info.

thank you M0N

the VU meter works now

Hiby have always been my choice of lossless player for iPad, iPhone, Samsung Galaxy phones. Great player, plays all codecs…dsd, wave, ape, Flac, mp3, etc…and It’s free.
