I know exactly what you mean.
I get opinions from everywhere, website and video reviews, forums etc. I wanna focus more on buying from unfamiliar brands like akg, beyerdynanic, focal, audeze and especially zmf, since every brand has it’s own kind of sound in all their headphones.

Yeah, that listening experience can only come from, well, listening. But don’t feel the need to try everything, as you will eventually get overwhelmed both mentally and financially lol

I was personally dissapointed with the Micca MB42X, they didn’t sound bad by any means, especially with some EQ… but my expectations were too high for them. The RB42s made up for it, though. They are very enjoyable little speakers. =P

I really do enjoy Z-Review’s format. It’s entertaining, and to me at least, gives a decent breakdown of the product he’s reviewing. If anything, his recommendations for alot of things made decisions on a buying list difficult to me. Though, that’s more my lack of experience with audio more than anything lol.

Yeah Z is entertaining. I think it’s kind of exaggerated, the ideal of how much he talks how good something is and not about the actual pros and cons something may offer.

Zeos, especially, got me excited about music again. I understand Zeos because he is basically like a brother from another mother to me. People not from NYC, CT, PA, NJ area probably don’t quite “get him”, and I see this clearly all the time in my own daily life and with the retarded negative comments folks leave about him all over the internet. Zeos is very passionate about what he does and the things he loves and that shows plainly in his reviews and daily videos of other things. I didn’t notice his cursing until reading all these pussy ass comments that snowflakes left all across his reviews and it made me laugh at the things people value and are offended by. DMS is different, he has different tastes and values and I find him to be an excellent contrast to Zeos. Both him and Z got me to look into equipment I would otherwise have not known existed. There are others out there and the forums are full of knowledgeable people. Z has character and has figured out how to monetize on a medium I both enjoy and provides me great entertainment and things to think about. As far as I’m concerned Zeos provides priceless value to my entertainment world, what you do with the information he puts out is up to you. I adore Zeos and enjoy DMS when he’s not having panic attacks.

DMS is a creative and maybe more sensitive guy. Creative and romantic people are very passionate about what they are doing and love but many times they tend to have an unstable mood and being honest with what they are feeling because they like to share their pain. We are kinda at the same boat. I admire him for his honesty and passion and I believe he will be back stronger and more creative, he maybe needs a change and a big break.
