I didnt read the entire thread, maybe it is mentioned. But what is the waiting period for the Aeolus?

Nvm lol, saw on the website its 2-5 weeks

Whats the wood for both your Aeolus and Verite, they’re so beautiful

Ziricote wood, it has become one of my favorites

My God
 :astonished:

I was thinking the other day that the ZMF limited edition headphones look like they came out of Myst island lol

I’ve got that badass myst book from the myst 25th anniversary kickstarter, the one that has the flyover videos when you open it up and stores the myst games and gehn’s inkwell inside. Also have a poster of the Channelwood Age up in my room, as well as a couple myst t-shirts and a mug
maybe this is why I love the look of ZMF headphones so much.

Oh yeah, that game changed my life. I was already an anglophile. the beauty of the scenes, the rooms, the furniture. It was sublime. helped shaped my tastes.

have you heard the auteur? if so any thoughts?

how do you like the verite compared to the aeolus?

The same wood on both? but they look so different

Yep. It’s more neutral than the Aeolus. I prefer the VÉRITÉ vs the Auteur though. Think of the Aeolus’ aim as not being neutral tho. The Aeolus brings the mojo.

I think the Verite has more detail retrieval, and is generally “better” to my ears
but, I think the Aeolus is the best “endgame” all-arounder for most people.

Interesting. Which one hits harder in the bass? Metal571 said the aeolus had less than the auteur. Then I’ve heard others say the Verite has a good punch as well. Looking for fun but don’t want to completely ignore detail, if that makes sense. And I don’t want a narrow stage.

Picky haha

Both have really good bass, the auteur has more but less details, at least to me.

Honestly, it comes down to aesthetic and price. They are different headphones, I think the Verite and Aeolus have really good soundstage, but the Verite is better at imaging and detail, but the Aeolus is no slouch.

The Verite also has an interesting 3d-ness to the sound profile
which is more prominent in the closed back version, but not a lot.

Also pad rolling is a thing as well as break-in with ZMF headphones.

I believe the Verite (OpenAnd Closed) and Aeolus are the only ZMF Headphones that utilize the Beryllium/Bio-cellulose drivers.

The Eikon (and therefore the Auteur) use bio-cellulose, the Atticus is the same driver as the Aeolus.

Not infused with beryllium. That’s only the Verite and Aeolus I believe.
