They also have a perf flat (Universe) with suede and lambskin. Looks nice if you don’t like leather touching your face.

Z also preferred the Aeolus to the Autuer, and I’d take an Autuer/Eikon every day of the week over an Aeolus. So I’d take Z’s preferences with a grain of salt.
Not that the Aeolus is bad.

Oh I take EVERYONE’S opinion with a grain of salt, but I find I agree with Z on some things interestingly enough. Like an affinity to the he4xx for example.

Okay, I was wondering if the universe suede are close to the universe leather.

Also I thought about it more, and any thinking that I agree with Z is just confirmation bias because I disagree with him all the time. lmao

As I recall Zeos, DMS and Joshua all went to RMAF 2018 and did live YT streams in the evenings. All three of them were enthusiastic about the Aeolus as being one of the stand-outs of the show. I suspect this was pivotal in starting a sort of pro-Aeolus meme in the headphone community. The idea that one of the more affordable ZMFs was also one of the more desirable ones was probably very seductive.

I’m loving my Verite. Have about 40 hrs of burn in and they sound better than the initial listening session. Don’t seem as dark. Vocals seems clearer and the stage has opened up some. Vocals aren’t as in your head as before. Detail is pretty crazy but doesn’t sacrifice tonality.

Oh yeah. Kinda crazy. I’ve seen where Zach said they get even better at around 150-300 hour burn in. I’ve had them playing while setting when I’m not listening and each time I pick them up they sound better lol. Probably ears too.

Oh and the rnhp doesnt get warm at all.

It’s silk with brass. So like the “regular” Verite just without the black

Still pretty. I have silk too. Some people actually say they enjoy the silk more than others. Never heard the other woods so I can’t comment but I’m sure they’re all close. They do need plenty of burn in. I feel mine get better daily.
