Lets talk about your tips! ;)

Penon stocks Spiral Dots and ePro horn tips already; maybe I can convince them to stock RDMs lol

i like the feel of spinfits… but the annoying thing is on a medium set it works perfectly on the left side but the right ear feels like its about to fall off… i need to buy myself some more final tips (an e500 is in the future then), and spiral dots are just hard to import (and are they any different from final… i know amazon jp uses the same password as amazon us but its still weird) and spring tips will come when my chu comes next week (technically this week but I’m travelling for a week)

My problem with the SpinFits I have is that, when I insert the CP100 a bit deep in my ears, the seal that I usually get from it just becomes non-existent for some reason, even though the Medium-sized tips are good enough for it to seal my ears.

Not only that, similar problem when it gets I don’t know “oily” is that the left tip slides out of my left earhole while my right tip is still fine remaining there.

I never had an issue like this with my Spring Tips and those I think have the same material and feel as the SpinFits.

My Guess IS that when tout insert the spinfit “too deep”, the silicone folds on itself to accommodate the small hole you try to insert it into. And if the silicone folds, some air can go back and forth, so you have no seal anymore. I would advise you to try with smaller sized tips I you want to go really deep in your ear.

I have tried to get deep mounts and the cost to the USA is ridiculous… I will try more BVGP tips. I like the Adzla. Shorts did not like Elastecs to sticky. I will try Crystal. I have had others but the only others I like are spin fits. Final E is to dark and the others are fine but not stand outs. I think Spring tips are to small but I will buy a Chu to find out. Tips make a difference to me and a very easily heard one.

I just picked up the Crystals and I can confirm they’re great tips. Wide bore so keep that in mind, upper mids and treble is emphasized for sure. However, comfort is perfect for me. They’re sticky, similar to the Elastecs but not as much. The silicone is a tad stiffer and so is the stem so I feel like they’re less flimsy than the Elastecs so this creates a more natural seal, more consistent as well. I think you’ll enjoy them. I went with the MS size btw, I have larger ears and with the large nozzle on the Monarch’s, they fit nicely. The deep mount tips are ridiculous in price but you can get them on AmazonJp for a semi reasonable price.

At first impression, the following seep to yield similar results to the eHorn tips, while having a wider bass for snugger fit / improved isolation.

It’s Spinfit CP155s which I didn’t think would have such a wide nozzle at their base.

To make them fit the nozzle of the Serials I snipped out the core from some unused white tips, and then apply the CP155 on top. Very secure, not going anywhere, and the length/properties of the white core seem to work well.

I bought some tips from ALXCD on Amazon marketed at being some Sony replacement tips.
I just to see how they would work on the Timeless.

It turns out they are very similar in shape to the Final E tips but they are softer, thinner and maybe a tad grippier.
These could be some good alternative to Final E tips.

Anyone got foam tip recs that aren’t Comply?

INAIRS but they are European so not sure about prices outside

Also using INAIRS - rec because they are comfy, seals well, and they are short enough as to not overdampen the sound

I’ll check out INAIRS. I’m looking for super short tips (~6-7mm). I chopp e my complys to that depth and so far they are my favorite. Would prefer something with a bit more longevity and not require me to cut every time

I’m not sure about the depth, but they are a bit shorter than my complys. I use them for both my Olina, T2 and T3+. The Olina and T3+ benefits greatly from INAIRS over Complys.

Made a discovery today: BGVP makes various knock-offs of well-known eartips! They are super cheap on AliX

  • BGVP W01 (top left in image) is very similar to AZLA SednaEarFitLight (top right) in bore width at the top (closer to ear drum) but much shorter stem and smaller bore width at the base
  • BGVP E01 (bottom left) is nearly identical to Final Audio Type E eartips (bottom right). I mean, it’s even called E…lol.
  • BGVP A07 and A08 and nearly identical to kbear07 and kbear08, as well as Accoustone AET07 and A08.
  • I’m not sure what the Y01 are copying, but the bore width at the tip is similar to Final Type E, but the width at base is much wider, so it fits IEMs with wide nozzles

Great find! I did not know they might have a type E copy, I might pick it up myself to check it.

just an FYI though; the A07/A08 and the Kbear07/08 are both copying acoustune aet07/08.

oh yeah, i had a typo (should be AET07/08). fixed the OP.
Do you have white Final Type E tips? I think they would be near identical to the BGVP E01

I do, but they are pretty much identical to the black ones.
