šŸ”· Modhouse ARGON MkIII

Just curious, is it the T50 Argons or the T60?
It’s supposed to be one of the wider headphones out there.

Soundstage usually means just a psychoacoustic perception of width and depth, like how far away the instruments are in a room. From what little I know, this mostly has to do with how the drivers handle treble.

Not every recording can exhibit this, however. Do you get the sense it’s like that on all tracks?
Zeos usually plays ā€˜Novocaine’ by Amber Rubarth as a test track for soundstage

Soundstage can also mean physical space between your ear and the driver which can create soundstage as well depending on who you ask

They’re bad communicators

The process is basically that you send on your set and they mod them. If you purchased the mod on the website I’m sure instructions would be forthcoming. Modhouse is a one man, evenings, weekends and spare time type operation. I’m sure emails take a back seat to doing the actual paid work

But they only have a full price option not one where I chose to bring it in. So do I just chose the full price option and leave a message that I wanna send mine in?

Update i switched out for a different cable and these cans came to life. They don’t sound like all the instruments are playing on top of each other.

This is what I was talking about:

Ok, thank you. I saw 90$ conversions and I thought it was some other kind of mod, considering everybody says it’s 150$ if you send yours in. But that’s with the pads.

So, after emailing them twice, they responded saying that there was a problem with their email they weren’t able to reply. At the same time they told me that my headphones were ready to be shipped out. Less than a week later, here they are! I think they are just generally really busy keeping up with all the orders.

Niiice!!
It’s been about 13 weeks since I ordered mine, but they are currently out for delivery!

What should I listen to first after unboxing them tonight?

so what do you do with the extra pads?

Put them in a drawer. Then occasionally put them back on because you forgot what they sounded like. Kinda like how you think candy corn might not be as bad as you remembered. It is.

Something wide and bassy to verify the all the claims. Lol. So what did you end up listening to?

Keep them until the ZMF pads wear out. I wonder how long they’d last.

Just got my pair last week. Found a NIB pair of T50s on ebay last spring for cheap and for and for less than $300 total I have a something that is just magical at this price. The are so good listening at EDM & Hip Hop.

It says if you get yours converted you can’t get the v moda cable with it? You can’t get the cable at v moda, theirs a shareplay one that looks similar on the v moda website but has a strange thing on it. Am I missing something here? Someone mentioned a sku cable that’s great with it. If I can’t fix the distortion somewhat, I’m gonna have to sell them.

Hi, is the standard procedure to receive the order confirmation email and the order shipped email with nothing in between? I ask because I submitted a few minor questions through their online form and haven’t heard anything. From what I’ve gathered from this thread, there is some room for improvement in the communication department.

I guess I’m just a little nervous sending a payment without hearing anything during the 2 month lead time. FYI, I ordered about two weeks ago so there’s still some time to go. It’d be nice to have an order status page so that I at least know my money didn’t disappear into the ether…

Much thanks!

This is all standard procedure.
