đŸ”¶ ZMF Aeolus

They really are great together for sure. The aeons are more balance between the two I’d say. And the aeons give a little more of a semi open vibe so you get the open sound but it’s easier for on details since it perfectly cuts out like 30 percent of ambient noise. They’re pretty damn special I’d say. I’d say they have about equal love from me right now to be honest. I haven’t tried the tuning pads yet but they’re pretty perfect without the tuning pads.

The treble is pretty perfect for me. More than the Aeolus and great resolution on it. But right at the perfect level before it become harsh.

If you are considering them then do it before April 16th straight from his website and you’ll get them for 760. And then you’ll also be in the dan Clark audio club and get 15 percent off of all his stuff.

I like the Tuba with the Aeolus, but I don’t love it.

I honestly prefer the Clear a little more than the Aeolus with the Tuba, but I still prefer the Clears on my solid state amp. The Aeolus can in fact be really good, but sometimes I wish I had a mulligan with them as sometimes I think I wouldn’t be such a flip-flopper if I had a different headphone from ZMF.

Yeah i see the Aeolus as good, probably even some of the better, all rounders from zmf. Like good if you were one that only owned a headphones. Or one that you could be great with if they were your only pair. But if you have a shit ton of headphones than these are too in the middle to complement a lot of others in your arsenal. Some of his more specialized pairs like the auteurs would be better in that case. That way they have their more specific purpose or place in your lineup.

Anyone here also nighthawk owners. Curious on how the aeolus sounds compared to the nighthawks.

I’ve fallen down the ZMF rabbit hole. I’m trying to trade my new pair of LCDXs for an Aeolus. Fingers crossed

Whoa
At least trade for the Eikons or Autuers.

Its the LCDX creators bundle that doesn’t come with the pelican case. Its only really worth $1200 retail so the Aeolus is the only fair trade.

Audeze sells the pelican case ala cart for $130 that retails for $1700. Don’t ask me why it costs $400 more for the regular bundle but there you go. Also, sound wise (based on what I have heard) it seems like the bicellulose driver will be a closer complement to the LCD X’s (as much as a planar and dynamic given the differences can be equated).

They are great cases, but that math doesn’t make any sense

:man_shrugging: lol, i’ll be ordering a pair of Autuer LTD’s tomorrow from some of the money I made from stocks so if I can trade the LCD’s for an Aeolus i’ll consider it a bonus.
