I did a search and found some references to Lawton Audio in other threads, but I was hoping there might be enough info to warrant it owns thread. This a thread for anybody to tell their stories of Lawton mods to their Fostex and Denon products. I would love to know what mods you had done and did you do them yourself? Most importantly, what did the mod give you? Clarity? Bass? Midrange? What does it do better now than it did before?

It looks like that $100 off sale price is to move through inventory: I would have recommended the Ebony if they were still available in the USA because I own and enjoy them quite a bit. At one time I was also considering the Mahogany as well, but I was able to pick up E-Mu Teaks. It’s a shame they won’t be selling these any longer as I think they are really good headphones for the price.

Fostex Th-Tr Owners What pads you guys using?

I have the ebony and i tried the dekoni elite hybrid pads with att rings and I don’t like it at all, mids sound weird although the bass improved in quantity, they sound grainy overall to me,i like the sound of the stock pads believe it or not but they just not comfortable on long sessions
